A Thing Called Hope
It is well known that when hope is lost, tragedy often follows. Imagine a person lost at sea—if they give up hope of being found, their natural instinct to survive fades, and their chances of making it through diminish. The point is clear: in times of hardship, hope keeps us holding on just a little bit longer.
In the darkness, hope is a glimmer of light guiding us toward a new day. It is the gut-level belief that help is on the way, that restoration is possible, and that life can be renewed.
During this period of pandemic, we have witnessed a devastating rise in addiction, alcoholism, and suicide. For many, it may feel as if all hope is lost.
This is where the Good News comes in.
Harris Family Ministries is building a Citadel of Hope—a house founded on hope itself. A lighthouse for women lost in the stormy seas of addiction, despair, and life-altering challenges. Our House of Restoration is on the way.
After a difficult year interrupted by COVID-19, HFM is diligently working to locate and fund a new residential home for women in recovery and their children. This home will provide:
Christian counseling
Life coaching
Life skills training
Supportive community for mothers and children
Our goal is to help families regain stability, find freedom from addiction, and build lasting futures—just as HFM and many of its board members have done over the years.
How You Can Help
Grants: We are actively pursuing grants through professional grant writers (TCN) to fund the acquisition and operation of the new home.
Community Support: Even with grants, there remains a gap. We need the help of friends, partners, and supporters to bring this vision to life. Every gift, no matter the size, brings hope closer to those who need it most.
Reverend Harris remains at the forefront of this vision, guiding HFM with faith, experience, and unwavering commitment.
To the women who feel like all hope is lost, HFM says: HOLD ON. HELP IS ON THE WAY!
